Locations: We offer group classes at two locations: the Skyline Lakes Firehouse located at 67 Edgewood Rd, Ringwood, NJ 07456 and the "Clip Shoppe" Grooming and Boarding located at 2890 Rt 23 south, Newfoundland, NJ 07435. See our schedule page to determine which location is best for your schedule. Class size: We limit the size of our group classes in order to give personalized attention to each student and their dog. In a group setting your dog will learn to obey with the distraction of other dogs and handlers present and will receive essential socialization. Kids and classes: Because young dogs in the beginning stages of their training need a consistant adult figure we limit our regular classes to adults only. Please do not bring children under 18 to group classes. If you'd like your child to be involved in the training of your dog/puppy, please call to schedule private lessons. WE OFFER THE FOLLOWING GROUP CLASSES and SPECIAL WORKSHOPS: KINDERGARTEN PUPPY CLASS- for pups from 8 to 16 weeks of age. Basic commands plus...housebreaking, chewing, greeting visitors, socialization, handling, working together, attention, grooming, building a bond and more... 4 one hour classes $100 Click here for schedule and to register BASIC - for pups over 16 weeks and adult dogs who've never attended a basic class before. Obedience commands, sit, lie down, stay, loose leash walking, come, working together, attention, basic control, house manners and more 6 one hour classes $150 Click here for schedule and to register "AFTER BASIC" Obedience Class-Prerequisite: successful completion of Basic class (with Positive Puppy Dog Training). Teach your dog impulse control and to pay attention no matter what! Building focus in the midst of distractions, teaching your dog to be calm in all environments, distance commands and more. 6 one hour classes $150 Click here for schedule and to register "ADVANCED" Class-Prerequisite: "After Basic" class, Intermediate Class, or private session equivalent. Reliability on and off leash. Off Leash come when called, Off leash heeling, responding to commands at a distance from the handler. Indoor and outdoor work (when weather permits). Click here for schedule and to register LOOSE LEASH WALKING Class- For dogs of any age. Teach your dog to walk politely without pulling on leash. 3 one hour classes. $75 Click here for schedule and to register "CANINE GOOD CITIZEN" Class-Prerequisite: successful completion of "Basic" class (with Positive Puppy Dog Training). In this class we teach all the exercises necessary to successfully complete the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. The "CGC" class includes 5 weeks of instruction and training and the 6th week each dog will complete the official AKC Canine Good Citizen test. All dogs successfully completing the test will receive an official, framable certificate from the AKC. Obeying commands when at a distance, hand signals, stand still for grooming and handling, off leash work, and more... Click here for schedule and to register FUN 'N GAMES Class- Prerequisite: successful completion of "Basic" class (with Positive Puppy Dog Training). Using games and tricks to teach valuable exercises. Teach your dog to ride a skate board, tic tac toe stays, musical chairs, tricks set to music, roll over, take a bow, say your prayers, drop on a spot, red light/green light, and more, 6 week class. $150 Click here for schedule and to register THERAPY DOG Class- Prerequisite: successful completion of Basic class (with Positive Puppy Dog Training). This 6-week course is geared to help you and your dog get ready to visit people in nursing homes, hospitals and other facilities, who are unable to have pets.
